| Inmates say officers brutally beat man |

An inmate at the Broward County (Fla.) jail is in the hospital and five fellow inmates say a brutal beating by several officers put him there. Those inmates say Alvin Bell, 30, was beaten on Wednesday in a small supply room used to strip search inmates when they come back from court appearances. Bell was taken to Broward General Medical Center with severe injuries. Broward Sheriff's Office confirms there was a struggle, but would not give details. Three deputies involved in the fight were also treated at the hospital. |
