NATCHEZ, Miss. – Corrections Corporation of America (CCA), the nation’s largest corrections management services provider, will hold a career fair for its Adams County Correctional Center from noon-8 p.m. Monday, April 20-Wednesday, April 22, at the Natchez Convention Center, located at 211 Main St. in Natchez, Miss., to recruit for more than 400 positions, following CCA’s recently announced award of a Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) contract. “We are recruiting for a diverse spectrum of positions,” says Mike Latko, CCA senior director, Human Resources. “Operating a correctional facility is like running a small town. The variety of professionals required, from management and administrative roles to frontline security and health services experts, is extensive. All of these careers are essential.” CCA is seeking applicants in a variety of correctional specialties. The first day of the fair will focus on recruiting for correctional security jobs, including correctional officers, senior correctional officers, correctional counselors and others. Tuesday will center on administrative and support positions, including correctional educators and inmate programs specialists. Wednesday will be devoted to identifying correctional healthcare staff, including licensed practical nurses (LPNs), registered nurses (RNs) and others. Applicants may apply online during the fair, and CCA representatives will provide candidates information about the company, specific career opportunities and background check requirements. Hiring will not occur during the career fair. Due to the anticipated heavy turnout, individuals attending the career fair are encouraged to complete an online application in advance at www.ccajob.com to expedite the process on site. CCA employees enjoy comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, paid training, paid time off and more. ”Bringing more than 400 new recession-resistant jobs to the Natchez area, CCA will have a major impact on sustaining the local economy in a historic community,” Latko says. “In these times, many Americans are looking for jobs and, at CCA, we’re proud to offer fulfilling careers.” |
