ATLANTA -- Has Michael Vick returned to his home state of Virginia for good? The Federal Bureau of Prisons confirms Vick has been placed at the Petersburg federal prison near Interstate 95 in Virginia. The prison, which sits approximately one hour from the home in which Vick admitted fighting and killing dogs, is a medium security facility for male inmates. Vick is immersed in a lengthy bankruptcy case in Newport News, Va, near his hometown of Hampton. During an appearance in the court on April 3, his attorneys asked a judge to allow Vick to be housed by prison officials in a site near the courthouse. The judge declined the request.
