A TRAFFIC warden who once booked Sir Sean Connery and helped nab the crooks behind one of the world's biggest drugs hauls has died. Sandy Bennett famously wrote a ticket for the 007 star when he parked his Land Rover on double yellow lines in Kingussie, Inverness-shire. And in 1991, as a special constable, he helped chase and stop a drug runners' van, leading to the seizure of cocaine worth more than £100million. Sandy, who was 65, earned an MBE from the Queen for his services to the public. He died after losing his battle against cancer - two days after celebrating his 42nd wedding anniversary with wife Isobel. Read more.
