| Compromise Offered to Visitation Dispute |

Livingston County Sheriff’s officials are proposing a compromise solution, after angering two local clergy groups by halting visitation programs for prisoners at the county jail. The Brighton Ministerial Association and Forgotten Man Ministries were upset when told they could no longer visit one-on-one to provide spiritual guidance to those in jail. The reason, according to Sheriff Bob Bezotte, is security. Bezotte says with the personnel cutbacks resulting from the budget crunch, there are only six corrections officers and one jail administrator on duty at any given time to oversee a jail population that at this time of year ranges from 254 to 280.
