| State corrections dept to close prisons |

NEW YORK STATE -- The State Corrections Department is preparing to close 10 facilities statewide, including three minimum security prisons. Among them are Camp Pharsalia, which is near Norwich in Chenango County, and Camp Gabriels, just outside of Lake Placid in Franklin County.
