| Corrections officers hurt in altercation |

WENATCHEE — Two corrections officers were injured in an altercation with an inmate at the Chelan County Regional Justice Center Monday. Jail Director Phil Stanley said an inmate, upset by being denied work release in a court proceeding, became violent. As officers subdued him, one corrections officer hit his hand on the ground, possibly breaking it, and another officer got a bloody nose when a third officer’s elbow inadvertently hit him in the nose.
