| NY inmate gets time for tax fraud scheme |

SYRACUSE -- A state prison inmate will spend nearly three more years behind bars for helping defraud the Internal Revenue Service out of more than $200,000 from his prison cell. Terry Reed was sentenced Thursday by a federal judge to 33 months in prison and ordered to pay $33,300 in restitution. Reed, who's serving time at Clinton Correctional Facility for attempted murder, will not be eligible for parole now until 2013. Read more.
