| P700K reward up to recapture 14 inmates |

COTABATO CITY, Philippines – In an effort to re-arrest 14 inmates who had bolted the Cotabato City jail, the local government has offered P50,000 reward for each or a total of P700,000 for all fugitives. Mayor Muslimin Sema said the bounty will be given to anyone who could give police information that would lead to the arrest of the escapees form the city jail on April 16 with the help of a woman visitor. Sema said one of the 15 who escaped has surrendered with the help of his parents. “He was a minor and is facing robbery charges," Sema said of the 17-year-old inmate who had been in jail for more than two years. “His parents brought him to me so I accompanied him back to the detention center," Sema said, adding that he was expecting more escapees would show up soon, especially that that a reward has been raised for their arrest - dead or alive.
