The former head of what's now Maine's Department of Health and Human Services has been nominated for a key post in the Obama administration. Kevin Concannon has been tapped to become the Under Secretary for Food, Nutrition and Consumer Services in the U.S. Department of Agriculture, according to a White House press release issued Friday. Concannon will serve with USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack. Concannon, 68, was most recently Director of Iowa's Department of Human Services. Read more.
