CHICAGO - Authorities plan to limit visitors to the Cook County Jail to immediate family members because of swine flu concerns.
The Cook County sheriff's office announced the change Friday.
Starting Saturday, jail visitors will be limited to parents, legal guardians, brothers, sisters, spouses and children.
Attorneys can still see their clients.
Visitors will be asked if they have a fever, cough or other flu-like symptoms.
The change comes after jail officials discussed the matter with health officials from the city, county and state.
There are no swine flu cases at the jail.
Chicago now has 15 probable and two confirmed cases of swine flu. Suburban Cook County has another 11 probable cases. Read more.
