Two female inmates captured in escape attempt |

Two female inmates were captured after they attempted to scale an interior fence at the Pearl River County (La.) jail last week. According to a Pearl River County Sheriff's Office press release, Amando Breland, 18, 173 Roseberry Road, Lumberton and Amiee Kekko, 23, 4 Liberty Road, Picayune were charged with escape after they were discovered at a female prisoner trailer at about 4 a.m. last Thursday. Jailers were conducting a check when they heard one of the jail's fence dogs barking behind a kitchen area. During a check of the grounds, they found a shirt in the razor wire, shoes by the fence and blood near the female prisoner trailer. Kekko and Breland were found with fresh cuts and Kekko required medical attention for her injuries. Kekko was being held for probation violation for uttering forgery and Breland was being held for burglary. |
