| Man gets prison for attacking Corrections Officer |

A Sheboygan man who attacked a guard while in Sheboygan County jail will spend another two years behind bars. Anthony J. Masta, 38, pleaded guilty Monday to a felony count of battery by prisoners and was sentenced to two years in prison and two years extended supervision, according to court records released Thursday. Judge L. Edward Stengel handed down the sentence. According to a criminal complaint: Masta, of 1123 N. 14th St., was in solitary confinement March 1 for fighting with another inmate when correctional officers saw him repeatedly kick his cell door and attempt to destroy his mattress. He was upset at not immediately receiving bedding. Officers entered the cell when Masta refused to settle down, and he attacked the first one through the door.
