Retired corrections officer, Korean War veteran Martin F. Dorzan, 80, of Millville, died on Thursday, April 30, 2009, at his nephew's house after a brief illness. Born in Irvington, he had spent most of his life in Millville. Mr. Dorzan was a United States Army Veteran serving in Korea from 1951 to 1953. He was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries suffered during the conflict. He worked for the New Jersey Department of Corrections and retired from the Leesburg State Prison as a lieutenant. Mr. Dorzan was a member of the American Legion Nabb-Leslie Post No. 82, and a former member of the Millville Veterans of Foreign Wars. He also had been a member of the Wildwood Yacht Club, and the Cumberland Rifleman Association. He is survived by his brother, Edward and his wife, Rebecca, of Florida; nephews, Joe Dorzan and wife, Marina, of Newfield, Martin Dorzan and wife, Dolly, of Millville, Darin Dorzan of Vineland, Edward Dorzan Jr. and wife, Sheanne, of Mays Landing, Steven Wright of Rahway; nieces, Andrea Wright of Rahway, Nora Kelley and husband, Keith, of Millville; five great-nieces and nephews.
