Inmate escapes from Ariz. prison

A minimum-security inmate escaped from the Arizona State Prison in Fort Grant early Monday.
Department of Corrections officials were unsure how David C. Rowe, 21, got out, but they discovered him missing early Monday during a bed check, said DOC spokeswoman Cam Hunter.
No cars were reported stolen or missing in the area, so Rowe was believed to be on foot, she said.
Rowe was serving a one-year sentence for aggravated assault and was scheduled to be released in August.
