VINELAND -- A man who broke into a corrections officer's car and put on part of his uniform was arrested after he was caught in the act, police said. Felipe Martinez, 24, of West Chestnut Avenue was arrested on charges of burglary, theft, criminal mischief, impersonating a law enforcement officer, attempted theft from an automobile, criminal attempt to escape and unlawful use of a body armor vest. Martinez attempted to break into the officer's 2007 Honda CRV in the 800 block of South Valley Avenue at 6:42 a.m. Tuesday, police said. Read more.
