Meghalaya to Decongest Shillong Jail SHILLONG: With the sensational May 31 jailbreak bringing to light the pitiable condition of the Shillong District Jail, the state government has initiated measures to decongest the jail. The government wants to complete the ongoing construction work in the Ri-Bhoi, Nongpoh and Nongstoin jails in West Khasi Hills as soon as possible.
