Commission Approves Grant; Contracts for Juvenile Detention Sequoyah County Commissioners approved a Rural Economic Action Program (REAP) grant to chip and seal a road in District 3 at their meeting Monday. District 3 Commissioner Mike Huff said the portion of the road to be chipped and sealed is east of Iron Post Corner in the Central area. He explained the road will begin with the third mile east of Iron Post Corner. The commissioners also approved regional juvenile detention contracts with the Cleveland County Regional Juvenile Detention Center, for $19.81 a day, and with Canadian County Juvenile Detention Services, for $19.31 a day.Read more.
