Jail Could House Federal Inmates in Female Unit By Kate Thayer GENEVA – Jail inmates might bring in additional revenue for the county in a struggling time if the County Board approves a request from corrections officials. Sheriff's Cmdr. Pat Keaty told the county's Judicial and Public Safety Committee Monday of a proposal to house up to 15 inmates a month for the U.S. Marshals. The panel approved the request, sending the proposal to the county's Finance Committee.Read more.
