Michael Jackson collapsed after being administered a Demerol injection at home, an aide to the pop star told medics, according to a UCLA source via The Sun. A source close to Michael Jackson confirmed the Demerol injection. "Shortly after taking the Demerol he started to experience slow shallow breathing," the source told The Sun. "His breathing gradually got slower and slower until it stopped. "His staff started mouth-to-mouth and an ambulance was called which got there in eight minutes. "But paramedics found he was in full respiratory arrest, no breathing and no pulse. They started full CPR and rushed him to hospital. "When he arrived they started resuscitation, giving him heart shocks and inserted a breathing tube and other supportive measures to try and save his life. "He never regained consciousness. The family was told that he had passed." Demerol is a powerful painkiller similar to morphine. Jackson was reportedly addicted to the drug and took a fatal over dose of it. < a href="http://www.sawfnews.com/Gossip/58627.aspx"target="_new">Read more.
