Dodge Inmate Recaptured After Escape Posted By: Erika Adolphus A Dodge County inmate is back in jail after escaping briefly Saturday afternoon. Sheriff Jeff Hinson said two detention officers responded to a fight in one of the cells at the county jail just after 5 p.m. He said when they entered the cell, an inmate hit one of them with a broomstick. While the first two officers subdued the first inmate, a second inmate, 42-year-old Talmage Eugene Bray, ran past them. Bray met a third officer at the booking room door. Hinson said Bray punched that officer and knocked him down as he escaped. Officers recaptured Bray just after 6 p.m. Hinson says they found him in a creek bed two blocks from the jail. Read more. |
