| Inmate attack at youth facility injured guards |

By Geoffrey Wertime, Staff Writer CHESTERFIELD — Three state corrections officers were injured, one of them admitted to the hospital, after an attack by an inmate at Alfred C. Wagner Correctional Facility Monday morning, an official confirmed. A male corrections officer was believed to still be at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center in Hamilton Tuesday after an inmate at the correctional facility attacked him and injured a total of three officers, said state Department of Corrections spokesman Matt Schuman. The two others were treated and released but not admitted to the hospital, Mr. Schuman said, and the first officer’s injury was not life-threatening. Read More. |
