White supremacist activities alleged at Pima County Jail |

Attorneys for a man charged in Tucson, Ariz., in the beating death two years ago of a gay man want his trial pushed back to September. That's because of an investigation into alleged white supremacist activities at the Pima County Jail. The defendant in the murder case, 22-year-old David Higdon, is one of four inmates who are charged in connection with that investigation. Higdon is set to stand trial June 8 for the June 2002 killing and robbery of Philip Walstead. The 24-year-old victim was beaten with a baseball bat in what police labeled a hate crime. |
