Maine prison cuts worry commissioner July 30, 2009 AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) -- Maine's top prison official says morale and staffing problems will only worsen if the Corrections Department is forced to absorb any more budget cuts. Corrections Commissioner Martin Magnusson told the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee on Wednesday that he doesn't believe the Legislature can safely make any more cuts in corrections.
