First inmates arrive at new Adams County Correctional Facility By Associated Press August 4, 2009 NATCHEZ, Miss. (AP) — The first inmates have arrived at the new Adams County Correctional Facility and officials expect the private prison to reach capacity by March. For months after construction, the prison sat empty because no federal contract was in place to fill the facility. But a deal between Nashville, Tenn.-based Correction Corporations of America, the owner of the prison, and the Federal Bureau of Prisons to house about 2,500 federal inmates was signed in April and approximately 40 inmates arrived at the prison on Monday.
