| Murder-for-hire trial will begin on Tuesday |

A nine-day trial in an alleged murder-for-hire case is scheduled to begin Tuesday in Fond du Lac County. Richard M. Willison, 47, faces more than 100 years in prison if convicted on two counts of solicitation of first-degree intentional homicide and two counts of conspiracy to commit intentional homicide. Last week, a Fond du Lac County judge ruled that the jury may hear Willison's conversation with his brother about a map he allegedly created so a fellow inmate could kill his ex-wife and her live-in boyfriend. In October 2007, a Fond du Lac County Jail inmate informed a corrections officer that Willison asked him to kill his ex-wife and her boyfriend for $50,000, according to the criminal complaint. Three days after the request, the inmate handed authorities a map of the target's home allegedly drawn by Willison, according to the complaint. Read More. |
