Federal officials made a visit to a Michigan Prison to determine if it would be a suitable location to move the terrorists from Guantanamo Bay there. Some Michigan residents are as naïve as Obama and are happy to see the detainees come because it may mean keeping the local prison open that employees several hundred people. This could be Obama biggest mistake and could backfire bigger than Jimmy Carter allowing the hostage crisis to go on for over a year. Obama has already said that he is open to freeing some cleared detainees in the US and helping them start new lives here. How much more likely is that to happen with non cleared prisoners once they’re on our soil. Obama may even claim it wasn’t his fault once the ALCU starts going to judges to release these prisoners. Obama’s justice department will likely do little to stop those releases and even if they wanted to they’ll cite the fact that they can’t provide evidence against the prisoners because of security concerns, which would be true. You also have to consider that an American prison is much easier to break out of than a military prison located in a foreign country. A prison riot or a plan by other terrorists to break them out could have all of the terrorists free and on American soil to wreak havoc. I suppose as long as the freed terrorists agree to buy American goods it might be worth spurring the economy. Read More. |
