| Dixie corrections officer reportedly sold pain pills |

The Dixie County Sheriff's Office arrested one of its own employees Thursday on drug charges. Colby R. Driggers of Cross City, who had been a correctional officer at the county jail in Cross City for about a year, was charged with three counts of selling Oxycodone. Driggers' arrest was reportedly part of an ongoing drug investigation that started in June. In a statement issued by the Sheriff's Office following the arrest, officials said there was no indication that any of the offenses happened while Driggers was on-duty or at the jail or at any other department facility. After Driggers was arrested at about 2:30 p.m., the Sheriff's Office was trying to determine whether Driggers would be able to post the $150,000 bond in his case. Read More. |
