As a veteran officer at the Norfolk County Correctional Center in Dedham, James Zupkofska dealt with some of the state’s toughest customers. But on his own time, the 45-year-old Weymouth husband delivered Meals on Wheels to shut-ins for South Shore Elder Services, volunteered for the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Jail & Bail fund-raiser and enjoyed exploring with his wife Laurie beneath international oceans as a skilled scuba diver. The triathlete was out for a jog on Summer Street near his home Saturday just before 6:30 p.m. when he was struck and killed by a U.S. Postal Service truck. Read More. |
