An inmate at the Kentucky State Reformatory has pleaded guilty to threatening to kill President Bush and his family. Twenty-four-year-old Jeremy Daniel Bryant is charged with depositing for conveyance in the mail a threat to kill the President of the United States. Bryant faces up to five years in a prison, a $250,000 fine and three years' supervised release. Federal authorities say Bryant admitted that on July Seventh, 2003, he wrote a letter in which he threatened to kill the president, his wife and their daughters. Bryant signed the letter Zaakir Sideeq Muhammed and placed it for deposit in the prison's outgoing mail. The Kentucky Department of Corrections and Secret Service agents identified Bryant as the author of the letter. Bryant is scheduled to be sentenced on August 16th. |
