| Police dog finds raw meat stuffed in man’s pants |

FRAMINGHAM — A police dog lost the trail of an armed robbery suspect because, police said, it was drawn to the scent of raw meat stuffed in a homeless man’s pants. Edward J. Brown, 48, was arrested at 10:23 p.m. Friday after he admitted he had just stolen the meat from Super Stop & Shop, Framingham police spokesman Lt. Paul Shastany said. Police were investigating an armed robbery at a Shell station on Franklin Street and had called in a scent-tracking dog from State Police. A witness said he saw the masked robber running south on Franklin Street, so a trooper had his dog head in that direction, Shastany said. Read More. |
