SACRAMENTO, CA - Police have arrested a second woman in connection with a driveby shooting at the Sacramento County Main Jail last month. Sgt. Norm Leong with the Sacramento Police Department said Rosetta Rogers, 18, was booked into custody on suspicion of conspiracy and shooting into an occupied building. On Monday, police arrested Jackie Phoulivahn, 20, for her alleged involvement in the Aug. 16 incident. The shooting was connected to an inmate escape attempt, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department. No one was hurt in the shooting. Police officers found multiple shell casings and a silencer outside of the jail building on Sixth Street, said sheriff's Sgt. Tim Curran. Gunfire markings were found on fifth and sixth floor windows and articles left in common areas possibly connected to an escape attempt were recovered, Curran said. Read More. |
