| Prison program founder quits in wake of prison ban |

The chief executive of a celebrated prison educational program has been accused of having improper relationships with former inmates in her program. Catherine Rohr has resigned from the Houston-based Prison Entrepreneurship Program that she founded in 2004 after state prison officials banned her from the prisons. PEP Chairman Bill Meyer tells The Dallas Morning News that Rohr revealed her relationships with four ex-convict PEP graduates a month ago. He said PEP's board learned of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice ban a week ago. Read More. |
