TUTWILER, Miss.—The state of California is sending corrections investigators to a private prison in the Mississippi Delta where inmates attacked and injured two guards. The incident occurred Thursday during breakfast in the dining hall at the Tallahatchie County Correctional Facility in Tutwiler, which is run by Nashville-based Corrections Corporation of America. Corrections officials say several inmates from California, who had been transferred to the prison, attacked the staff. Two CCA officers were injured and one remained hospitalized Thursday.
