Timothy R. Cahill 996 West Street Mansfield, Massachusetts 02048 508-337-8446 October, 2009 Dear Law Enforcement Official, I am a Captain at the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office in Dedham, Massachusetts. I have been with the Sheriff’s Office for over 20 years. This spring I was selected as a Law Enforcement Ambassador for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial (NLEOMF) in Washington, D.C. There is a campaign currently underway that will raise money for the first-ever National Law Enforcement Officers Museum which will be built adjacent to the Memorial. The cost of the museum is estimated at $80 million. Currently the effort has raised over $37 million in private donations - no public funds will be used. As a selected Ambassador I have pledged to assist in awareness of the campaign and the cultivation of more Ambassadors from the New England area. I have also pledged to host fundraising events on behalf of the NLEOMF. I am respectfully requesting your attendance, as well as members of your staff, to attend a fundraising dinner on Saturday, November 14, 2009, at 6 PM at the Holiday Inn, Taunton, Massachusetts. Attached you will find an invitation detailing the event. The theme is “An Evening of Humor for Heroes”. Comedy entertainment will be provided by Boston area favorite and national headliner Paul Nardizzi. Please visit the NLEOMF’s website (www.nleomf.org) for more information on this noble organization. The NLEOMF was originally endorsed by President Ronald Reagan in 1984, and the current campaign is being endorsed by former Presidents Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush. My contact from the NLEOMF is John Shanks, Director of Law Enforcement Relations. On behalf of the NLEOMF I thank you for your consideration in assisting with this very important national campaign. I look forward to meeting you in the near future. Sincerely, Ambassador Timothy R. Cahill Heroes-Fundraiser@msn.com National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund Washington, D.C.
