| MEDIA ADVISORY: REMINDER - DRC to Conduct Media Open House and Tour of Ohio's Death House |

(Columbus) – The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction will conduct a media open house and tour of the Death House on Monday, November 30, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville. Media attending the open house will be processed into the media center beginning at 10:30 a.m. There have been no structural changes to the Death House, but this tour will allow media outlets to obtain updated or new footage of the Death House. DRC officials will lead the tour and provide an overview of the execution process. Established and recognized media outlets wishing to attend this open house must submit the following information to the DRC Bureau of Communications for approval no later than Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 12:00 p.m.: * A letter on affiliate letterhead which must include the names, work addresses, work phone numbers, cell phone numbers and email addresses of anyone attending on behalf of a media organization (reporters and photographers); * A copy of photo identification for all representatives; * A complete list of all recording, photographic and other equipment that will be brought to the facility. For security purposes, this list is subject to review and approval by DRC officials. Representatives of established and recognized media outlets who wish to attend the open house and tour must submit all information detailed above by the specified deadline. Confirmation of attendance will be sent to the media outlet once all required information is submitted and approved.
