| '12 days of Fugitives' program needs your help |

State officials are hoping the need for holiday cash will motivate people to turn in tips about the whereabouts of 12 of the state's most violent prison escapees, including two with ties to North Florida. The "12 Days of Fugitives" campaign was kicked off Monday by the heads of the Department of Law Enforcement and the Department of Corrections. "These men are out there somewhere living undetected in our communities," said FDLE Commissioner Gerald Bailey in a news release about the new campaign. "We'd like nothing more than to give holiday cash in exchange for information that will bring these bad guys back to prison, where they belong." Officials said the campaign was designed to be released during the holidays because it is likely the fugitives may be getting in touch with their family and friends. Read More. |
