BOISE, Idaho (AP) - An Idaho inmate will now spend the rest of his life behind bars after he was convicted last month of raping another prisoner. Cody Vealton Thompson was sentenced Tuesday to two fixed life terms, one for rape and the other for being a persistent violator. He was given 2 1/2 years in prison for intimidating the victim. The 31-year-old Thompson has a long criminal record of burglary, assault, escape, grand theft, aggravated driving under the influence and eluding an officer, dating back to when he was just 16.
