| Parolee is charged in shooting death |

A 42-year-old man is charged in the shooting death of a 16-year-old Fenger High School student outside a Southside store last week. Randall White, of the 11900 block of South Wallace, is charged with first degree murder in the death of Fred Couch. Couch was gunned down while he hung around with group of other young people outside a store at 333 West 119th on December 30. According to the Illinois Department of Corrections website, White was paroled December 16, 2009, just two weeks prior to the shooting. White was in prison for narcotics and weapons convictions.
