A western Kentucky deputy jailer, accused of helping two inmates escape, has been indicted by a grand jury. Willie Hurst, 26-years-old, is charged with third-degree assault, tampering with evidence and complicity. Police say Hurst allowed 27-year-old Derek Early of Paducah and 30-year-old Sammie Wallace of Madisonville to leave the Hopkins County jail in exchange for money. Early and Wallace are charged with second-degree escape. |
