BOSTON (AP) - Massachusetts state police say an inmate who fled a minimum-security prison after being indicted in a 1996 rape and home invasion has been recaptured. Police said Monday that Manson Brown was arrested Sunday after officers in DeKalb County, Georgia, learned he was at a gas station. The 51-year-old gave officers an alias listed on his arrest warrant. He will be returned to Massachusetts. After Brown walked away from the Old Colony Correctional Center in Bridgewater on Nov. 27, prison officials said he had heard news reports about his new indictment before they were given official notice. He was serving a 10-year sentence for home invasion and armed robbery. Read More. |
