| Polk CO resigns after DUI arrest |

A Polk County Sheriff's Office detention sergeant retired on Tuesday, a day after she was arrested and charged with driving under the influence in neighboring Hillsborough County, the Sheriff's Office said Davita Glenn, 37, crashed her 2007 Toyota near State Road 60 and Jerry Smith Road in Hillsborough County on Monday afternoon. A Florida Highway Patrol trooper smell alcohol at the scene; Glenn's blood-alcohol content was later determined to be .201, according to the Sheriff's Office. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told The Ledger newspaper in Lakeland that Glenn was in uniform and on her way to work at the South County Jail at the time of the accident. Read More. |
