| Killer disputes state's execution method |

(AP) — BATON ROUGE, La. - Hours after Louisiana conducted it's first execution in eight years, a state judge was set to hear arguments that Louisiana's rules for execution do not follow the state requirements for adoption, with the proper comment period and legislative review. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Nathaniel Code, of Shreveport, who was sentenced to death for the 1985 murders of four people. Code does not have a scheduled execution date. The attorney general's office is defending the state, arguing the corrections department has complied with the Louisiana Administrative Procedure Act. Read More. |
