| 3 Camden cops under federal investigation |

CAMDEN — A Superior Court judge has dismissed drug convictions and prison sentences for at least five men arrested by Camden police officers who are now a part of a federal investigation of the city's police department. Four of the men arrested by Patrolman Jason Stetser, Kevin Parry or Antonio Figueroa have been released from prison. An attorney representing the department's police officers union confirmed Friday the officers are part of an FBI investigation into corruption. Officials from the Camden Police Department and Camden County Prosecutor's Office have not commented on the investigation or recently dismissed indictments. Police officials confirmed in November that Stetser, Parry and Figueroa had been suspended without pay. A fourth officer, Patrolman Robert Bayard, has also been suspended, Camden Police Inspector Michael Lynch confirmed on Friday. While law enforcement authorities have remained mute about the reason behind the vacated sentences and indictments, some of those suddenly released from prison say it proves what they knew all along -- they were never guilty to start with.
