PEARL, Miss. -- A 65-year-old man serving a life sentence for murder was caught trying to escape from prison in Rankin County. Mississippi Department of Corrections Spokeswoman Suzanne Singletary tells The Clarion-Ledger that Charles Watts was spotted by a guard trying to cut through a fence Saturday at the Central Mississippi Correctional Facility in Pearl.
