(Manchester, NH) The New Hampshire Department of Corrections announces that a minimum security inmate is missing from the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester. Christopher Michael Ruth, 37, of Danville, was placed on walkaway status at 10:00 am on February 8, 2010 after he was found to be missing during the morning population count. He was not scheduled to go to work today. Inmate Ruth is described as a white male, 6 feet 2 inches tall, 230 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He has multiple tattoos on both of his arms. He is serving a 2-7 year sentence for first degree assault after being convicted in Rockingham County Superior Court. He entered the New Hampshire State Prison on March 3, 2008 and had been eligible for parole on August 25, 2009. He is scheduled to reach the end of his sentence on August 24, 2014. Law enforcement efforts aimed at apprehension have been implemented.
