BRISTOL, Vt. -- Vermont corrections officials say a Bristol police officer transporting a prisoner handcuffed her to a wall outside a jail, where she remained for about 30 minutes. Corrections Commissioner Andrew Pallito says Chantel Storti - dressed in a sweatshirt, but no hat or gloves - was taken back into custody by the officer later Sunday, after guards at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility in South Burlington called Vermont State Police. Pallito says the woman had been arrested on a probation violation and that the officer told the jail he was bringing her in to be lodged there before her arraignment. Read More. |

Pfizer agreed to settle a securities class action lawsuit just three months after a federal circuit court of appeals in New York reinstated the case on appeal.
