Dallas County (Texas) Sheriff's deputies caught up with an escaped inmate early last Friday. Tony Lemmon-who had been jailed for burglary, forgery and theft-was captured when a team of police officers and deputies stormed a trailer house in the East Texas town of Quinlan. Authorities said Lemmon was found hiding under a bed by a team of deputies assisted by law enforcement officers from Hunt County, West Tawakoni and Quinlan. Lemmon was taken into custody without incident and returned to the Lew Sterrett Criminal Justice Center in Dallas. Lemmon escaped from the Suzanne Kays Detention Facility last Sunday afternoon as he was being led to a church service. A second inmate who attempted to flee was caught after breaking his ankle during the attempt. Jail officials were investigating the circumstances of Lemmon's escape. |
