| Grandmother of Escapee Released from Jail |

KISSIMMEE —A 79-year-old woman accused of helping her grandson escape from the Osceola County Jail was released from the facility this morning. Regenia Ralph is accused of feeding, giving clothes and money to her grandson, Michael Rigby, in the hours after his escape. Ralph had been held without bail since her Feb. 22 arrest. She is required to wear a GPS monitor and will be on home confinement while on bond. The Kissimmee woman's release comes a day after Circuit Judge Scott Polodna agreed to set bail at $10,000 for the woman. On Monday, Polodna heard from about 40 relatives and friends who traveled from as far away as New York City to support Ralph. Many had backgrounds in the military, law enforcement, education or business. All condemned Rigby, 21, a leader of an Osceola County chapter of the Bloods street gang. They described him as "lost" and an outcast member of the extended family that emigrated about 40 years ago from Guyana. Read More. |
