KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — An Oak Ridge woman who has been arrested numerous times on assault charges, has again been arrested for assaulting another Oak Ridge woman at a Knoxville club. Brandy Shareece Walker Sanders, 28, address listed as 254 S. Benedict Ave., was arrested Feb. 23 on a warrant from the Knoxville Police Department for aggravated assault. She is accused of cutting the face of a woman with whom she was reportedly fighting inside of a bar in Knoxville on Sunday morning. Knox County court records indicate that Sanders and the victim, who also lives on South Benedict Avenue, were at the Malibu Club on Martin Luther King Boulevard in Knoxville with friends about 3 a.m., when Sanders reportedly "bumped/pushed" the victim, who then pushed back. The two women began fighting and when the victim got off the floor her face had been slashed. Reports said the victim went to Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center's emergency room, where she received 20 stitches on the right side of her face. At least three other Oak Ridge women were at the club and witnessed the fight, according to the court warrant. On Monday, the victim called the Oak Ridge Police Department and reported that she had heard through a third person that Sanders was going to get a gun and shoot her, and again on Tuesday morning, telling police that Sanders was sitting in her car near the General Sessions Court on Bus Terminal Road, where officers arrested her on the KPD warrant. Sanders has a long criminal history in Oak Ridge and Knoxville. She has used Knoxville and Oak Ridge addresses. In addition, she has been convicted 15 times in General Sessions Court on various charges including several assaults, and has been sentenced to prison on two occasions, but received probation in each case.
